Rossiyanka 4:0 Zvezda-2005

We were humiliated in Moscow by Rossiyanka!
As a coach, I make all tactical, personnel and motivational decisions, and all responsibility for this loss is mine.
In this match we were second best in every phase.
Now we need to dust ourselves down and get ready to go again and show character and resilience in order to be able to do that.
I felt that after Rossiyanka was given the 3rd minute penalty we looked frightened and stopped passing it. We never had enough players who influenced the game and then we conceded three very soft goals – after that you are never going to win a game.
We have to continue to instill a real character within the team and make them better both individually and collectively.
We have to build up a mentality and a culture, so when we are in 0:1 early positions like we were against Rossiyanka we are able to overcome it.
Fortunately, I/we will have a chance to redeem ourselves on 4 June when we host Rossiyanka.
Its not what happens to you, its how you respond. We lost the battle but not the war.
